Jacob Shaver of Lions (#12717)

Owner: 0x6809…e343

Jacob knelt in the hard snow. His eyes narrowed as he watched a speck on the horizon, a merchant ship cutting through the waves. The merchants were daring, braving the frosty waters to bring rare items from the south to trade them for Arctic Char and other fish harvested by the Penguins. But their journey was not without peril.

"They are blasting their way through the frozen ice more and more these days..." In years past, the habour would be closed by the time the days were this short... It wasn't natural to have visitor this late in the season.

Suddenly, Jacob's Battle Penguin squawked, its eyes focused on something in the distance. Jacob turned his gaze, spotting a series of strange ripples in the water around the merchant ship.

"You feel it too, don't you.." Jacob murmured, his voice gruff yet tender. He mimicked a squeaky voice, pretending to converse with his silent companion. "Oh, they've done it now... this shit is about to do down... At least we've got front row seats."

As they continued their vigil, the ordinarily serene waters around the merchant ship started churning violently, and unseen forces began to pound against the ice. The frozen landscape, which had lain dormant for centuries, began to groan and creak under the strain. A sense of dread filled the air. The penguin thumped his left foot an gave a rowdy "whoot whoot!!". Jacob tightened his grip on his sword, his heart pounding in his chest.

Something was awakening deep within the frosty depths, something ancient and powerful. And it wasn't happy with the intruders disturbing its icy slumber.

With a deafening crack, a colossal figure began to rise from the water, dwarfing the merchant ship. Its form was obscured by the thick fog that had suddenly rolled in, but the silhouette alone sent chills down Jacob's spine.

Jacob watched in horror, and the penguin with glee as the creature roared into the frosty air, a sound so loud it echoed off the ice, shaking the very ground beneath him.

In his fake penguin voice, Jacob spoke with excitement. "Well, we are probably screwed now! Not sure what the hell that is, but I don't think its here for the sushi!"

Sword in hand, snowshoes on foot, they took off, with haste, back to the Capital to raise the alarm.
