The Unlight Bathsheba, Cerulean Flame

In the Year 4054, under the cosmic influence of the ascendant Ouroborus zodiac, the wizard Bathsheba, formerly known as the Cosmic Mage Bathsheba of the Heath, embraced the Revelations of Shadow and became a Black-Hatted Wizard.

A whisper of night, a whisper unbright,

Silver sliver of nefarious delight,

Two hundred six demons call her by name,

The Wizard wields Fire, Cerulean her flames.

Ad tenebras donamus spirituum

A Historian's Notes on the Origin of the Nullheart, the Unlight Bathsheba.

"The path to a wizard's story is littered with centuries of painstaking study. Great wizards are made, not born."

                     - Elia Odaire,

First Elder of the Shadow Temple

In the realm of wizardry, there persists a common myth that great sorcerers are blessed with innate and limitless talent. Bathsheba, the Cosmic Mage, however, had never been regarded as a prodigious wizard by any stretch of the imagination. Nevertheless, when she was entrusted with the Light Incandescent at a tender age of eight, she embraced this honor with unwavering fervor and the unbridled enthusiasm only a child could muster. For over two decades, she faithfully guarded the Light, employing its formidable power to uplift the denizens of the Sacred Court. Through her unwavering dedication, she had proven herself worthy of this enigmatic magic.

Thus, when the Harbinger inexplicably stripped Bathsheba of the Light and banished her from the hallowed halls of the Sacred Court, her world was shattered. Bereft and stripped of her former might, she found herself more powerless than she had been in countless decades. For several years thereafter, Bathsheba drifted from place to place, from the Obsidian City in the east to Goblin Town in the west, from the White Wizard Tower in the north to the Dread Tower in the south.

Fate, or perhaps destiny, intervened when she stumbled upon a small, unassuming tome hidden within the shadowy depths of a curio shop during her wanderings through the enchanting Frog Master Marsh. The author's name had been haphazardly scratched out, yet the contents held immense allure for the wandering sorceress. Bathsheba soon realized that the book elucidated a set of principles that unveiled a novel comprehension of magic — a revelation that challenged the deeply ingrained notions and long-standing traditions among practitioners of the magical arts. Fuelled by determination, Bathsheba embarked on a transformative quest.

The book, aptly titled Revelations of Shadow, gradually unveiled its secrets as Bathsheba meticulously cataloged and wholeheartedly immersed herself in its teachings. Each page brought forth deeper insights and profound wisdom, propelling her on a profound journey of discovery. It was not uncommon for Bathsheba to spend weeks, even months, contemplating the precise meaning of a single phrase, unraveling its hidden depths. Yet, as she deciphered each hurdle and achieved breakthrough, a surge of newfound mastery led to a heightened sense of mastery.

Revelations of Shadow extolled a form of magic that implored its practitioners to heed the absence of things — the voids and the unoccupied spaces — and recognize the potent potential within nothingness. The book chronicled those who embraced this magic as individuals who perceived the world through a dualistic lens — a balance between matter and antimatter. As the book details, in ages long gone, these sorcerers left a subtle but indelible mark on the course of history and had been ascribed various titles: Voidwalkers, Shadow Shamans, and Veil Knights, among other notable monikers.

Realizing that she had to bring this ancient magic back to the Runiverse, Bathsheba understood that she had to follow in the footsteps of those who had walked this path before her. Hence, she embraced the name Nullheart — a reflection of the precious things she had forfeited and also an embodiment of the principles she now chose. As Bathsheba adorned herself in the Black Robes for the first time, adhering to the instructions laid out in Revelations, she came to a profound realization—that everything she had learned thus far was merely the prologue, the opening chapter in her unending journey toward mastering the unfathomable powers of the Null.
