The Wayward Journey: Geomancers of the Runiverse

Three reliable figures in the Runiverse, Wizard #3371, Wizard #4643, and Wizard #9718, were seasoned partners in transportation missions. As skilled Geomancers, their unique ability to manipulate earth and its elements often helped them overcome any difficulties they faced along the way. They had a reputation for always getting the job done, no matter how complex or demanding the mission. Their current task was to move an unidentified cargo from Blue Wizard Bastion to The Hall of Cats. Though seemingly routine, this particular assignment would prove more challenging than expected, thanks to an unexpected detour to Goblin Town and the whimsical antics of their capricious monkey companions.

Angus was a stoic Strongman wizard. He wore an imposing Ice Robe and had a venomous red mamba as a familiar. Known for his unyielding personality and intolerance for nonsense, Angus took on the role of the disciplinarian within the trio. His companions, Ratko and Oxnard, were far more easygoing, often to Angus' frustration.

Ratko was an easygoing Animist wizard. He donned a green elven cloak and was often seen with his playful Monkey familiar. His ever-present goofy grin and the antics of his Monkey familiar added an element of fun (and frequent trouble) to their journey.

Oxnard was a carefree Canaanite wizard, known for his knack for risk and mischief. His attire included pants with a large green buckle and he had a mischievous Monkey familiar by his side. Despite his playful demeanor and love for high-stakes games, Oxnard never failed to deliver, always fulfilling his commitments.

Their journey had been a mixture of debauchery and delays, mostly due to a detour to Goblin Town. There, Ratko and Oxnard indulged in the city's notorious pleasures, seemingly forgetful of their mission and the precious cargo they carried. Angus, constantly scowling at their disregard for their task, grew increasingly impatient. They were behind schedule, and the high-paying job was at risk.

"Must we always wait for your monkeys' antics to end?" Angus grumbled, casting a disapproving glance at the monkey companions. His venomous familiar, a Red Mamba, echoed his sentiment with a hiss.

Ratko and Oxnard, caught up in the thrills of Goblin Town, dismissed Angus' growing frustration with a wave of their hands. Their easygoing natures belied the gravity of the task at hand, a paradox not lost on their stoic companion. Despite their light-hearted approach to life and their delight in the antics of their monkey familiars, they were, above all, skilled Geomancers. The earth magic they wielded was not merely a spectacle for passersby; it was the crucial force that made their precious cargo's safe delivery possible.

As night fell upon Goblin Town, the trio found themselves in one of the city's infamous gambling dens. Oxnard, ever the risk-taker, had gotten himself entangled in a high-stakes game of Runes. He was losing, badly.

"We've got to get going, Oxnard," Angus chided, looking over at the growing pile of gold being swept away from their Canaanite companion.

"Just one more game," Oxnard pleaded, a hopeful glint in his eyes. "I can win it back, I know it!"

Against his better judgment, Angus relented, his stern expression belying the worry beneath. After all, they'd been through worse situations. Ratko, on the other hand, cheered Oxnard on, finding the whole situation rather entertaining. Their monkey familiars mirrored the excitement, jumping and hooting around the room.

As Oxnard continued to play, his loss streak extended, and the pile of gold dwindled to nothing. Undeterred, Oxnard pledged to stay one more night, convinced that his luck would turn. Angus grumbled, his frustration peaking. "What's the worst that could happen?" Oxnard shrugged, a mischievous grin on his face.

Oh, if only he knew. The unknown cargo, their delayed delivery, the precarious situation they had put themselves in – all these elements were ripe for a disaster in the making. But for now, they were immersed in the chaos and allure of Goblin Town, oblivious to the potential consequences of their delay.
