Choices Part 1

Enchanter Sonja belongs to the order of the dark sisters. This is a secretive group that performs magic for their own benefit and is not opposed to using black magic. There is a constant struggle in this group over who has more power and how magic should be used. Sonja is against using her magical abilities to harm or hurt others. She regrets many of the things she has done when she first joined and is now trying to find a way to leave the order. Part of the oath she took when she was eighteen included wearing an enchanted bracelet. If she takes off the bracelet and leaves she dies.

One evening while watching the stars her blue river rat Blitz jumped up onto her shoulder. He whispered that his friends had talked about a wizard in the Emerald Forest who knows about ancient spells. Blitz asked, "maybe you could go and find Enchanter Daphne and ask for a spell to get that bracelet off." She shrugged her shoulders as a tear streamed down her face. Blitz snuggled next to her and toether they watched the stars.

A week later the order called for a meeting to discuss the brown hat wizards. The dark sisters were angry at them for their attitude of not giving the sisters free food. The order decided to burn down some of their homes to teach them a lesson. Shamon Lumos of the Hollow #8534 would be the first home they would set on fire. Sonja explained that she needed to leave immediately to care for a sick family member. She was granted permission and set out on the road. Instead of traveling towards her family home she set out north for the Iota Path and the Emerald Forest. Blitz had climbed into her bag when she wasn’t looking.
