If you truly desire something, then you shall have it-- or so, is what Holy Monk Aldo of the Hall believed. Desperate for power, Holy Monk Aldo was ready to take any means necessary to harness and control the magical life force energy within himself which other holy monks referred to as Qi. Using this element of Qi, Holy Monk Aldo hoped to channel an uncanny strength of energy that he could use towards his own enlightenment, releasing him from the material barriers of the halls.

However, he soon discovered that the monastic energy within him in which he thrived had reached a threshold, limiting him from breaking free. Refusing to accept defeat, Holy Monk Aldo turned towards other darker means to fulfil his wishes. On a frantic quest, he sought out knowledge from darker souls, nobles, and unholy tyrants on how to obtain more Qi.

From a descended monk, he learns that power can be channeled not only from oneself, but also from that of other magical beings. The descended monk warns him however, of how this dark art would declare Aldo an outcast amongst the other monks. Despite the foreboding message, Aldo learned the dark spell that would allow him to steal the Qi essence from other monks and use it for himself.

With a sinister grin, Holy Monk Aldo crafted a vial where he would collect other monk’s Qi, and later infuse the energy into himself-- hoping that one day he will collect enough to break free of his invisible shackles and go beyond the halls.
