Velbi Lore: Beginnings

Velbi showed early talents in forming an offensive blade type weapon and being adapt at maneuvering it at an early age. It was her favorite toy and always had it in hand everywhere she went. Velbi’s favorite classes were combat and war strategy. Close combat was intuitive for her and her speed, agility and flexibility became her defining style. War strategy class was just simply fun: she always came up tops in the chess and strategy board games and could complete with kids in several age classes higher than her. Velbi’s characteristics endeared her to Lord Alphonse’s heart (her father). Lord Alphonse kept Velbi by his side to teach and mentor her. He brought Velbi along through all his travels to give her exposure to lands outside their own. Velbi surprised Lord Alphonse on several occasions when she shared her thoughts that showed maturity well beyond her age, and unique perspectives that had not been raised before.

When Velbi graduated out of the Eidolon Combat School (way earlier than other kids of her age), Lord Alphonse lost no time in including her in his combat units. He did not grant her any royal privilege and had her join a frontline war unit. There in the frontline unit, Velbi continued to hone her battle skills and learnt that training and 1v1 combat was different in frontline war situations. (Velbi’s weapon name) evolved together with Velbi’s war experiences to be a significantly larger blade (like the ones in the current pictures I see) for greater damage in large scale battles. (Velbi’s weapon name)’s blade became uniquely fashioned with Velbi’s magic to become unnaturally sharp that could slice through metal like paper. Imagine the shock of the enemy soldiers when their weapons, shields and armor are no resistance to a stroke of Velbi’s weapon. Velbi with (weapon’s name) in a battlefield is like a demoness in carnage mode: the combination of speed and agility with a blade that slices through everything clears a path wherever she goes.

Velbi rose quickly through the military ranks based on her own battle merits. Her battle prowess quickly made her a heroine figure within the troops. She was made a squad leader quickly and moved up the officer ranks. Her ability to read the battlefield and develop counter strategies gave her battle success after battle success. Her presence in battle could always increase the troops morale and inspire them to rise to the occasion. These qualities led Velbi to be one of the youngest ever officer to be promoted to the rank of General.
