Sharon Savior of the Citadel (#8489)

Owner: 0x7BB5…3E05

In 1962, Sharon’s parents Rory and Rosalind came over from Ireland after they were married and settled in northern Ontario Canada. They left Ireland because it was discovered they were shapeshifters. They had the ability to turn into red foxes when needed. This decision came after a bloody X was placed on their front door. Feeling ashamed the couple didn’t want to live where they were feared and not welcomed so they packed up everything they owned and left.

In their new country of Canada the locals accepted them for who they were. During the day her parents often volunteer around town. They even gave out their extra vegetables from their garden for local families in need. At night they helped local farmers protect their chickens and livestock. In return Sharon’s family always had chicken for dinner.

Sharon’s parents often talked about when and if she would develop the same ability to shapeshift as she grew. When she turned ten and nothing was happening they all gave up and accepted her for being a normal child.

On her sixteenth birthday her parents gave her a bonfire party with all her friends. While sitting around the campfire a boy named Liam smiled at her and she blushed. The skin on her arms began to grow reddish brown fur. Sharon pulled her hoodie sleeves down and blushed but no one else saw what had happened.

After everyone left the party she pulled back her sleeves and showed her parents. Her dad yelled, “Yes!”

Her mom had tears streaming down her face. They all hugged and talked about when it might happen again. Her parents explained until she had the ability to summon and control her new appearance it could happen at any time. They were thrilled that she would become a red fox like them but with each morph Sharon got bigger and soon it was apparent she was turning into an eastern wolf.

Today Sharon is known all over northern Ontario and Quebec for helping people just like her parents taught her. The eastern wolf is a symbol for the balance of harmony and life. It is the way of life in this part of the world. We all must live and work together to survive. May the howl of the eastern wolf remind us all that we are better together.
