Spellsinger Ursula of Avalon (#3233)

Owner: 0xea88…b754

The Wizard of Life

She was born Phoebe, named after some character on a sitcom she was too young to even know. She did not have a voice for song, nor was she the most sociable. She was highly intelligent, however, and buried herself in any and all books. She simply could not relate to her peers at any age. Her parents spent all her time for her, in the name of advancing academics. She spent more time with machines than people. She was alive, but she did not really live.

Luckily, fate was fickle. As Phoebe deeply immersed herself in the story, she fell asleep and never woke up. It was a trope that she enjoyed in her books. It was a situation she did not believe was possible. Stories are grandiose things full of wonder and escape, but a lot of stories are just stories. Yet here she was, reincarnated into the forgotten Runiverse in the middle of the Hedge Wizard Wood.

A simple woodcutter found her wailing while preparing for winter. She kept all her memories from her past self, but she was bound to the body of a babe. Ironically, the woodcutter named her Ursula, of all names. That woodcutter became her father and doted on her. Their hearts filled each others with life and love. Ursula was alive, for what felt like the first time.

When she became of age, her father gifted her, a great owl, that she named Minerva. The woodcutter also granted Ursula, his name, Avalon. It felt like destiny as the woodcutter shared his name with a great king. She was daughter to Arthur of Avalon.

In this life, magic and nonsensical things were a reality. The things Ursula read about became alive in the runiverse, and even then, there was so much more to discover. She could feel mana and inherently use magic, just as natural as breathing. She was in tune with the forest, the spirits and the animals. She applied the knowledge from her former and current worlds to develop her cosmic magic.

Unlike her past life, Ursula of Avalon now possesses a beautiful voice, amplified by her siren’s bell. Using the bell as a medium, she is able to cast fantastic magics while entrancing those around her. Her rapid progress in magic quickly catches the gaze of Enchantress Morgan of Le Fay.

Summoned to the secret tower, Spellsinger Ursula of Avalon dons her fiery red cloak and her rune of brimstone. As she sets off to begin her adventures, she softly whispers to herself, “Life is magic. I will give what was given to me.”
