Way back when, in the ancient times of old
There was a pirate queen in search of jewels and gold
She had the fiercest crew the realms had ever seen
They were salty sailors - crude, violent and mean
The chaos they wreaked was disturbingly gorey
She was pretty awful, but let’s continue this story

The name she was known by was Helena, Fiend of the Light
Sworn protector of the shadows, and the beasts of twilight
Known far and wide as a most dangerous foe
Rather unexpectedly, she received a lethal blow
A knife in the back, from her mutinous crew
They threw her overboard, and said “we’re through!”

Helena should not have survived that terrible night
Saved solely by her unknown family’s birthright
Blessed by ancient magic, the Rune of Lime
It would keep her alive through space and time
But it came with a price she had no choice but to pay
She must live in the night and sleep in the day

As she washed ashore on some unknown beach
She knew her old life was now out of reach
There was no way to ever go back
If she showed her face, they’d surely attack
So she picked herself up and dusted right off
And looked to the future with naught but a scoff

And so the time did pass, as we knew it all would
But who could have guess that she’d up so good
A heart filled with joy and love for all things
So excited about life that she always sings
As fate would have it, she’d meet her best friend
A loyal swamp witch who’d be there til the end

But that’s a story that will come much, much later
A mystical tale that is considerably greater
For now, Helena will wander and wonder
No longer dreaming of murder and plunder
Taking care of the night as was meant to be
Until she meets Wizard #3676
