Geomancer Angus of the Light (#3371)

Owner: 0x0Ab3…2c32

The Wayward Journey: Confrontation in Goblin Town – Geomancer’s Perspective

As Wizard #3371, Wizard #4643, and Wizard #9718 reveled in the excesses of Goblin Town, unbeknownst to them, Wizard #333 and Wizard #2223 had been watching their every move. Eizo, a druid wizard with a flair for tracking, and Jack, an artificer with an endless bag of ingenious devices, had been keeping a close eye on the unidentified cargo the geomancers were safeguarding.

The sudden ambush caught the geomancers off guard. Eizo and Jack emerged from the shadows, their spells illuminating the cobblestones of Goblin Town. Magic filled the air, an intricate dance of power and manipulation.

Earth rose at the command of the geomancers, a testament to their control over the natural elements. Walls of soil, rock-hard projectiles, and stone barriers materialized in response to their incantations. Jack, however, was quick to react, his artificer's gadgets deflecting and absorbing the onslaught. Eizo, meanwhile, brandished his distinctive Mamba Stick, a potent tool that focused his wind spells to counteract the geomancers' assaults.

Though slightly intoxicated, the geomancers fought back valiantly. Angus's earth manipulation created formidable defenses, Ratko's animistic spells sowed confusion, while Oxnard's unexpected maneuvers kept Eizo and Jack guessing. However, their monkey familiars, more hindrance than help, were inadvertently sabotaging their efforts with their disruptive antics.

At the battle's climax, Angus initiated a powerful earth spell intending to end the conflict. But in their excitement, one of the monkeys disrupted Angus's concentration, inadvertently diverting the spell's trajectory. Instead of bolstering their defenses, the disrupted spell sent the geomancers sprawling, giving Eizo and Jack the upper hand.

Eizo swiftly used his Mamba Stick to cast a constrict spell. The geomancers were momentarily incapacitated, held in a binding mist, unable to move. Jack used the distraction to locate and inspect their precious cargo.

The Sacred Flame was exactly what they were looking for. With a device from Jack's impressive Bag of Tricks, he securely contained the Sacred Flame. The remaining cargo was left untouched.

Once the Sacred Flame was secured, the binding mist dissipated. The dazed geomancers found themselves free but minus the Sacred Flame. Eizo and Jack, their objective achieved, prepared to fade back into the bustle of Goblin Town.

Before disappearing entirely, Jack turned back towards the stunned geomancers. He held up the container housing the Sacred Flame, a hint of regret in his gaze.

"We only came for the Sacred Flame," Jack confessed. Eizo nodded, a half-hearted shrug on his shoulders.

With that, Eizo and Jack disappeared into the bustling crowd of Goblin Town, leaving the geomancers to assess their predicament. The loss of the Sacred Flame was palpable, but there was a surprising lack of despair amongst them.

Ratko broke the silence, looking at his monkey familiar with a cheeky grin. "Well, I always said your antics would leave us in a hot spot. I just didn't know it would be minus the Sacred Flame!" he chuckled, humor deflecting the sting of their loss.

His joke managed to break the tension. Even Angus found himself shaking his head with a begrudging smile. Yes, they had lost the Sacred Flame, but they still had the rest of their cargo to deliver, and their schedule was already a disaster.

They were experienced carriers in the Runiverse, and they understood that sometimes cargo was lost. It was a risk inherent to their profession. With a collective sigh, they returned their attention to their remaining cargo and the road ahead.

Resolved to continue their journey, they left Goblin Town a little lighter but with another story to tell. Despite this setback, their mission marched on, and surely other challenges awaited in the vast expanse of the Runiverse.
